Newlywed couple by Seattle wedding photographer Lara Grauer Photography

I’m Lara, Your Wedding Photographer. It’s A Pleasure To Meet You!

I’m Lara Grauer, A PPA Certified Professional Photographer and I’m excited to be your wedding photographer. Among the many photography projects that I do, capturing engagements, weddings and major life events are the most fun. Your special moment fits right in with the unique true-to-you approach we take at Lara Grauer Photography. I’d love to help you capture the special memories from your day by creating photographic art that brings it all to life.

You want the joy of your wedding preserved with beautiful authenticity and my organized yet relaxed approach will pave the way. We’ll take time to make sure we’ve thought of all the people, moments, and memories you want to capture. Our plan will be laid out clearly long before your wedding day so you won’t have to worry if we’ve got it all covered. Many events come with their share of little surprises and hiccups. I’m good at being flexible, and with a strong plan in place, there’s no need to worry – we’ll be ready to roll with the punches.

Lara & Art: It’s not work if you’re doing what you love

Since we’re coming to your wedding, you might want to know a little bit about us. Professionally we’re Lara and Art but our friends know us as Art and La. We’ve been joined at the hip since high school. We’re proud parents of two kids, a dog, and a guinea pig. La loves photography and Art supports her in all her endeavors. We love what we do and we have a ton of fun doing it.

Here’s The Plan

When you first reach out to us, we’ll schedule a consultation. This is an opportunity for all of us to get together and learn about each other. How do you want to be photographed? I want to know your story – where you met, what your first date was like, and how you knew it was time to get married. This is the foundation of everything, and helps me find ways to tell your story. We will also discuss package options, and review how things will work over the coming months.

Once you decide I’m your photographer of choice, we’ll put together a contract and payment plan, which will reserve your wedding date on my calendar. I never schedule more than one wedding per day, so once you’re booked, you’re my only concern.

After your date is secured, we will be in touch along the way for planning. If appropriate, we may meet up at your wedding venue to get inspired with ideas. Maybe you saw a friend’s wedding album and saw something you really want to do – tell me about it! We might touch base because you’ve finalized your plan for flowers, and now you know what colors to incorporate. All of the details matter because they will show up in your photographs. The more you keep me in the loop with your wedding plans, the better off we’ll be.

Next comes the big day! With all of the preparation that we’ve done, you’ll have nothing to worry about. Relax, enjoy your wedding day, and let me be the one to think about capturing the special moments.

A couple weeks after the wedding (perhaps after you return from your honeymoon), we will all get together again to view the photos together. This is our time to choose the images you want to keep in your album and hang on your wall. We will re-live the day together and select which pieces have the most impactful stories to tell.

Now that the decisions have been made, I can start perfecting your selected images. While you wait for this to be done, a gallery will be posted online so that your friends and family can share in the fun of re-living all of the joyous moments.

When the image retouching is complete for your custom pieces, I’ll begin the process of designing your album and crafting your wall art. When a first draft of your album is ready, I’ll reach out to let you know. If needed, we will collaborate and make adjustments that make your album more beautiful. When a final design is approved, we move on to production. This can take up to 2 weeks.

This leads us to the last step: delivery of your package. I will come and hand-deliver your pieces that we’ve been working on for so long. Finally, you will have beautiful printed portraits that you’ll share with your family for decades to come. As time goes on, and your lives grow together, these portraits will mean more to you than you can imagine.

And, Finally, The Bottom Line

I’m sure this all sounds pretty good so far, but we know you’re looking for a price. Our packages start at $2950 and we offer lots of ways to tailor our services to get the right fit for you. We also have lots of album, print and digital options for you to choose from.

Wedding at 10 degrees, Capitol Hill, Seattle

Recently, Art and I had the honor of photographing a wedding in Seattle. It was a relatively small affair, but big with fun and emotion!
