Imaginative Portraits – Model of the Month

For this project, Seattle Photographer Lara Grauer was focused on imagination. The goal was to explore stories that went beyond the Seattle photography studio, and brought imagination to life.

Brenda loves to read. She reads multiple books per week, and especially likes to read mystery novels. With that in mind, we decided to let Brenda be a strong female “detective” type character in her portraits.

Normally, Brenda doesn’t like having her picture taken, but the idea of exploring a different side of herself, or being “someone else” for a day was what inspired her to apply to be a Model of the Month. Once she had her hair & makeup styled, and she put on the costume we had chosen for the photos, you could see the confidence emerge! Brenda really let her best self shine – and she rocked this photoshoot!
