Meet Eddie the Foster Dog!

Yesterday, I had the glorious opportunity to meet a very special foster dog. His name is Eddie, and as of today, he is available for adoption through the Seattle Animal Shelter. If you’d like to read a bit more about what he’s like, check out his bio on petfinder.com.

I had a great time meeting Eddie. When I got there, he greeted me with a big smile, then a sniff and a lick.

In the time we spent together, I learned that Eddie is confident, well-mannered, and very alert. His loving attitude rang through loud and clear.

I was in love with Eddie’s markings. It’s not often that a dog has 4 white “socks”, all perfectly matched to the same length.

Eddie knows several basic commands, and performs readily for treats. I watched him sit, shake hands, lay down, and he even had the beginnings of rolling over and playing dead. Sweet!

Play time was my favorite part of the visit. Fetch is one of his best games. He plays happily with stuffed toys, too. But the best thing was watching him try to bite water from a hose!

In case you haven’t noticed, I think Eddie is a great dog. Not only is he a fabulous photography subject, but he’s also just plain awesome. I hope you’ve enjoyed looking at the photos, but mostly, I hope you’ll spread the word about him being available for adoption. He’s content with his foster family at the moment, but everyone will rest easier when he has a place to call his home for the long haul. Here’s his profile again, so you don’t even have to scroll back to the top of this post!
