Behind the Scenes with Molly – Lara Grauer Photography’s February Model of the Month

Lara Grauer Photography’s February Model of the Month, Molly, is a high school senior this year. She has been going to school in her bedroom and spent the last year separated from her social circle. This session proved to be a fun way to spend a day and do something out of the ordinary – when there are so few ways to pass the time.

At first, we wanted to make Molly the Queen of Hearts for her photo shoot. But eventually, we connected the dots between Molly’s love of birds, and the fact that there is only ONE queen bird in the world: Queen Carola’s Parotia. We decided that Molly’s session should represent her unique interests and personality, so we made her into a beautiful interpretation of a queen bird.

These portraits are creative and elegant – perfect for printing on canvas and finishing with painted brush strokes. An art portrait to hang on the wall will be part of Molly’s legacy. What kind of portrait will you create?
