One day I called Lara from work.

“Hey La.”

“What’s up?”

“I’m quitting. This is it.”

“It’s about time.”

That’s how it started for us. Well, that’s how I started working for Lara. Lara had been doing photography professionally forever, kind of as a side thing, making it work in between being the best mom and community volunteer on the planet. One morning I called and put photography on the front burner, and the rest is history. These are stories about running a photography studio as an actual business.
