Headshot photography is really fun, and Seattle Photographer Lara Grauer, affectionately known as “Seattle Headshots,” is undoubtedly one of Seattle’s best headshot photographers. I know you might think it sounds awful, but it’s not. Here’s how it works: you fill out our form, and we have a chat on the phone. Then, we schedule a meeting and discuss what you’re looking for. You can pick out a few outfits, and if you like, we can arrange for a makeup artist to join the session. So far, not so bad, right? When the session day arrives, everyone relaxes, and we start taking photos. Initially, the lighting might not be perfect, and you might feel a little nervous, but that’s absolutely okay. I’ll ask Art to tell a joke, and either he won’t remember one, or he’ll tell a joke that’s so unfunny, you’ll have no choice but to laugh. As you get into it, before you know it, the session is over.
The best part is when we meet up again, and I show you your photos and you’re like, holy cow, these are amazing. Then you show them to your friends. Then, you post them to LinkedIn or add them to your press kit. Next thing you know, the payoff. The phone starts ringing…

Hiring for Traits Over Skills
Great teams are made of people with complimentary traits. Things like creativity & big-picture thinking are embedded in someone’s personality and values. Skills, on the other hand (while important), can be taught to someone who wants to learn. Managers are catching on, and these days I hear a lot about hiring for traits over skills. Know what that means? Your…

A studio portrait is a portrait which will focus less on surroundings and more on the individual by using sterile backdrops and props so… -
